Beginning in Barrisglen, where THE DRAGON LORD left off, the adventure takes the characters by sea to Dwarvendale in search of the long-lost city of the Dwarves, Khalezheer. Powerful help is available in this quest which requires knowledge of the hidden secrets of Khalezheer from the time-shrouded depths of the past. |
Can the party reach Dwarvendale? Is the wizard Thuvalee all that he seems, and what dangers will be faced in the Lost City? It is a truly perilous quest, but the overall rewards make it worth all risks! |

SWORDS and SORCERERS is the first of the planned expansions to CHIVALRY and SORCERY. The difference between an expansion and the "usual" supplement must be clarified. Expansions of this kind will add to the world of Chivalry and Sorcery the nationalities and regions on the fringes of and outside Medieval Europe so as to complete the world of the Medieval European. These expansions are certainly not necessary to the play of CHIVALRY and SORCERY and are useful only to those who wish to create characters or armies outside of the standard European context as found in Chivalry and Sorcery. |
This book covers the Vikings, Mongols, Gaels, Picts, and Celts. Each such nationality is fully discussed in terms of social organization, military organization, magick user types, character development, and political /economic systems. In addition to discussing this new set of nationalities, SWORDS and SORCERERS offers Mass Combat Modifications to properly allow for the battle tactics and effectiveness of these new army groups. A new battle system for paper and pencil is also presented for those who wish to speed up mass combat resolution or who wish to avoid the use of large numbers of miniatures (why anyone would wish to pass up the full splendor and pageantry of medieval miniatures is inexplicable.) Finally, a set of tables for instant calculation of feudal holdings and fortress construction is also included in this rule book. |
Future expansions will include a look at the Middle East during the Crusades, a look at the world of the legendary King Arthur, and a playing aid card system for the Chivalry and Sorcery combat system. Each of these works will be a true expansion of the world of CHIVALRY and SORCERY and not a set of new rules needed for the play of Chivalry and Sorcery, which is certainly the most complete rule book ever published. |
For those who wish to see their worlds expand and become complete entities, welcome and we hope that you find SWORDS and SORCERERS to be as useful and interesting as we do. |

Scientists had determined long before the 23rd century that the speed of light would limit Mankind in expanding his race. Terrans had developed action-reaction engines (fed on starlight alone) that could race faster than had ever been thought possible, but the barrier of the speed of light could never be surpassed. |
Yet, men and women had overlooked the possibility that the answer to this dilemma lay, not in the machines they could build, but in themselves. for the power of the human mind had been left unexplored and the power of the mind had been unused for centuries. Telekinesis--movement of objects by the energy of thought--proved to be they key to the stars. |
By 2213 AD., using the archaic but still popular time system of measurement, ships staffed with expert telekinetics, as well as science officers, military experts, and other crew members broke the shackles of speed and time and burst forth to explore the new frontier. |
Sigma Draconis also nurtured a race that developed quite differently from Terrans. Similar to Terran insect life, these Sigma Draconians naturally developed the power of their minds. Only late in their history did the Sigma Draconians amplify their natural powers with artificial machinery. Thus, the 'Siggies', as they came to be nicknamed, began to explore the galaxy at the same approximate time as did the Terrans. |
Perhaps it was inevitable that the two races should come into conflict. Perhaps it was equally inevitable that the conflict should arise around a fertile planet, the only such planet in a system equidistant from the two homelands. The Terrans had already colonized three planets so that this was to be the Delta Colony. |
On 2256.67 the first proud Terran settlers of Colony Delta raised the familiar blue and white flag of the United Nations. They had the whole planet to themselves. |
Almost . . . |
Colony Delta is a two-player game that depicts the futuristic struggle of two races attempting to colonize the same rich planet. Unlike many other wargames, COLONY DELTA need not be a game of warfare . . . though game-long peace is unlikely. |
Comes with 2 11" by 17" MOUNTED map sections. A cardstock reference sheet (printed on both sides), and 2 sheets of die cut counters. |
FGU has recently sold out of Colony Delta. However, Noble Knight Games still has a few copies. |

The French Revolution ushered in an era of drastic change in military thought and tactics. The relatively untrained armies of French conscripts challenged the finest armies of Europe and not only survived, but triumphed. It is easy to believe that the genius of Napoleon alone wrought the miracle but there was far more to it than that. The needs of the movement forced the French to adopt a greatly simplified tactical system that revolutionized the style of warfare being fought. As a result, French troops easily outmarched their opponents in battle after battle until the allies began adopting the same basic drills. It was this tactical system which provided Napoleon and his marshalls the means to march to the farthest corners of the continent. |
Covered With Glory is designed to reflect the tactics of the Napoleonic period at the level where those tactics had the most impact = the company and battalion. The unique movement and morale systems make the obstacles faced by officers of the period all too evident as players try to coordinate the movements of the units within their brigade or division. This is a fast paced, easy to learn, easy to play game system in which exciting and challenging battles can be played with as few as three or four battalions on each side or as much as a division. |
This is not a game of high strategy. It is a game of tactics at a level too long ignored or simply not understood. It is a game about the common soldier and how was led, maneuvered and deployed as he covered himself with glory. |
These tactical level rules are for use with the 15mm or 25mm scale. Each miniature represents 20 men. |
