Psionic talents

Psionics are rare and mysterious talents, which permit you to include in your scripts an exotic note into a High Tech universe. But, what is it? I mention: „" The Psionique is one highly specialized field of advanced science that uses the capacities of the mind. It allows an adept to affect the physical universe without physical manipulation in any way, creating effects that seem to have no material " reason. It lacks a French view to it. No, but it has a sense of the American to it. To clearly speak, a Psionique it is like a Jedi (or rather the inverse). It is a boy who can to affect his/her/its environment with the strength of his/her/its mind.

The middle score that a player can pull in psionique goes from 7 to 11! To have 19, it is necessary to get 00 on the dice of percentage and that the SM (for Star Master) wants to grant a bonus of 15%. An adventurer can have psi powers from a psionique of 11+, then one sees how much this talent is rather rare. Especially, when a player in the game for the first time, s/he/it is sleepy psionically. It is to say that s/he/it is not conscious of his/her/its powers and for that to happen, another psi must enter mentally in contact with him. Then hello...

As for the system of expertise, there are 96 talents distributed in 6 psionique fields : the telepathy, the télékinésie, the téléportation, the clairvoyance, the tellurgie & self-awareness and the Force (but yes, you read well). Every talent possesses a level from 0 to 10, one meets in known land. According to his/her/its score of psi, one is limited in level and in field as indicated to us in the picture here - below.

NB: psionic Adept having a 19 attribute score, alone, can study the Tellurgies fields & Self-Awareness and The Force.

As you probably have noticed, Space Opéra takes the notion of Star Wars' The Force with his/her/its Jedis, but we also find the work of E. E. Smith with the set of the Fulgurses. I take for some proof, the PK crystal (Psycho-Kinétique), that permits increase to the power of a psionique talent while limiting the loss in stamina points. Because if you believe that to use his/her/its mind is less tiresome, do not deceive yourselves. There is also the management of points in stamina every time that one uses a talent of which it is necessary to take care, if you don't want to see your character to faint. In this, the rules come closer to the system of magic in C&S and this is not a bad thing.

In short, psionics permit a very interesting simulation that goes beyond the simple demonstration of powers between supermen.
