Destructors are one of the types of weapons using pulsed energy most frequently used by the forces. They draw a pulse of anti-material, similar to that of Nova cannons, bluish or shinning purple coloured producing the sound of a torn piece of clothes followed by the shrieking noise of a bullet.
Collapsium is an allotropic form of iron. This crystaline silvery substance is created from very high temperatures and pressures existing on high density planets. It is very valuable for asteroids miners as it enables to produce combat shields for spacecrafts.
They are installed on most of the spacecrafts and enable to "freeze" a humanin body and to suspend all its vital functions. It is a very handy mean to defer the medical treatment of an ill or wounded person until we reach an healthcare center with adequate resources
The first traces of a xeno culture were discovered in 2011 on the moon by a mining unit exploration It was the wreck of an ET spacecraft. The technology it had allowed to tune the Warp engines. A few artefacts were uncovered on other planet and form what is widely known as X culture. The only elements gathered have allowed to determine it was a humanoid who had disappeared several thousand years ago who had mastered a very advanced technology.
Hyperspace is another dimension of the space-time, called space Tachyon or Tach. It does not follow the laws of relative physics described by Einstein. The spacecrafts fall within this dimension when they move from a solar system to the other. To enter hyper space, the vessel must already handle a speed which is very close to that of light before starting off Warp engines. These will allow to go through a few light years within a few hours.
The light second is the distance of light within 1 second. This is equivalent to 300 000 km, the distance between the earth and the moon. For obvious reasons, the units of distnace and speed are measured in LS. The weapons of small spacecrafts (corvette type) have a range of 300 LS whereas the Earth/Sun distance is 500 LS !
The light year is the distance of light in one year . It is the unit of measurement of distance between the stars. A standard commercial spacecraft can travel at a speed of 12 LY per day. In comparison, we are located at about 30 000 LY to the centre of our galaxy...
The Nova Cannon is the ultimate destruction weapon. It shoots a bullet of dephased anti-matter in Tach that produces an atomic and molecular desintegration on impact. Its energy comes from the explosion of KTAM explosives (KlysesTron Anti-Matter) in a combustion chamber reinforced by force fields VVR. The pulsed energy beam KCX3 goes through hyper-space to emerge on the position of target and it can reach 1000 LY (1000 times the distance of light in one second ie about 300 million kilometres) before its sub-space field disappears.
Psionic is still badly known science field. It deals with the capacity of the mind that allow an adapt to affect the physical universe without physical manipulation of any kind, creating effects that seem to have no material origin.

These engines can only operate near gravity fields generated by massive stars (suns or planets). A warp engine must be located at a certain distance from such an entity in order to be activated. For our Sol system, a vessel will have to be located at 10 000 LS from the sun (the orbital distance of Uranus).The vessel is translated in hyperspace and it is possible to go beyond the speed of light.
Effect discovered in 2025 thanks to a spacecraft wreck discovered on the moon. It allows to dephase from the normal universe in order to reach speeds close to that of light. However the dephasing is not full and for an outside observer, the vessels in flight TISA look like a rain drop with a blue and and white colour.
In order to go beyond the threshold of light, distorted Warp engines FTL (Faster Than Light) have been designed.
This weapon, exclusively reserved to the military, is the direct application of lineary magnetic accelerator to accelerate non metallic explosives embedded in steel at over 5000 m/s. It is used as an anti-tank weapon and has devastating effects on troopers even when they are strongly protected.
It is a very similar weapon than the flamer of the 20th century and it is strictly reserved to the military. It has a shrieking noise similar to that of a tyre. The projectile is formed with a liquid sodium capsule under high pressure that explodes on impact and inflames a surface between 2 and 5 metres.
High energy weapon similar to Flamer and Blaster. It projects a fusion plasma, producing a fire around the target. The fusion doesn't produce any radiations (300 rem) outside the surface of the impact.
PAPA: Power Assisted Personal Armour
An assisted armour is an exoskeletton heavily reinforced using mechanical servo to amplify the strenghth of the one who carries it. Used by IM, the troopers become true tank. The armour weigths 75 kg and has a counter gravity belt, a polarised visor / night and IR, a communicator an inertial card, a scanner, a survival device, an anti-radiationshield and a battery in Y in the back. It is totally self contained from outside and can be used in space.
