Here are a few answers to questions you've asked

Your campaign starts with Act II, isn't there any Act I?

Yes. It describes the arrival of the Spalding expedition on Beowulf and the sad story of its end. I didn't think it was useful to include it as the strips starts directly with Act II.
I might put it online if there's a demand for that. 

Why can't we access the confidential notes of NPC?

It's possible but not directly. You must go to the drawing board to of the strips and visualise the terminal. From there you get the code you will be prompted to give when requested to give your password.
